Meath Training Courses

Training Courses in Meath Communities Resource Training Centre

The Meath Community Resource Training Centre will offer relevant and practical courses to individuals and groups wishing to upskill or refresh their knowledge and skills.

Two training courses; one in E-business and Eco-tourism, and one in Renewable Energy will commence in September 2010. These training opportunities are aimed at people who have been unemployed for a year or more, are in receipt of social welfare benefits, and will favour people who were previously employed in declining industries such as construction, retail and manufacturing within the county.

Based primarily in a brand new state of the art, multi-purpose training centre in Kells funded by Meath Partnership, the courses will also be available at outreach locations around the county. There will be an e-learning forum created, providing flexible learning arrangements for people with family or other commitments. Both courses will start in September 2010, and will each run for 20 weeks.

Meath Partnership has been successful in securing funding in excess of €250,000 under the Labour Market Activation Fund to offer significant opportunities for upskilling and retraining.
